"Paper Wished" is a bi-weekly series on our blog where one of our crafters will show their process of creating a custom order card. PaperWish cards are truly one-of-a-kind keepsakes because we personalize your cards to the occasion!
I put out a call for challenges on Facebook recently and was challenged to create a card using the following parameters: A Birthday Card
With a Flying theme (planes, birds, parasail, etc.)
Use patterned paper
Use a Brad
Add a bit of sparkle
That is a lot of parameters, but I was in a creative mood and jumped right into this challenge!
Since there were several elements, and I am generally a more clean and simple designer, I wanted to ensure I had a clean backdrop to work with. I created this pretty die cut background in white as the foundation for the design. I then die cut the airplane from patterned paper and coated it with plenty of sparkle!
I added a simple foiled birthday sentiment and then gave it a little extra pizazz by adding a small banner with a bit of shiny washi tape and a sparkling gemstone brad to complete the design and meet that challenge!
This card was simply a joy to create! Challenge Accepted.
